Drawing Tutorial 001 - Drawing a head in three quarter

1. Lets start with the basic shape. An oval. For three quarter view the center line shall be in one side and curving along with the edge of the oval. The eye line shall also be a curve. Here the eye line is curving up suggesting the face is tilted downward a little.
2. Now lets add the jawline with almost a straight vertical line from the end of eye line on the right and a straight angled line from the bottom of the jaw along the lower edge of the oval. Draw the hair line and ear.

3. Continue drawing the hair line above the skull top line and end it tapering over the neck. The neck line comes down with a slope to the right to suggest the downward tilt of head and neck.

4. the nose tip is about halfway the distance from eyeline to bottom of jaw. Draw the mouth's position llightly. All these lines are curving upward a little suggesting roundness of the face and downward tilt of head.

5. This is just another snap with the eyebrows added.

6. The nose seen from one side. So its almost profile view. Straight line comes down from the  centre of the eyebrows little closer to the one away from view.
7. Lets draw the mouth now. The far end half of the mouth is sortened as this part shall be away from view and partially visible.

 8. mark the position of the eye. The eye away from view is hardly visible. only the outer shape of the eyeball and upper/lower skin of eye is enough to suggest an eye in a sketch.
9. The eye since not looking straight shall be little blunt on left and left edge of the eye shall be the round edge of the eyeball.

 10. finally the throat some shading and few lines to suggest hair.
